At Barcelona Flight School, located just off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, in the vibrant and historic Sabadell, Spain flight training is built around flexibility, giving students the opportunity to pursue aviation in a way that aligns with their individual goals. Whether students are training for professional careers or flying purely for joy and adventure, the school believes the combination of the right aircraft and right instructor can make aviation more accessible.
“With the proper training, almost everyone can fly,” says Rafael Molina, Head of Training and Head Pilot at Barcelona Flight School. “Not everyone is looking to fly a commercial aircraft. Sometimes the training experience is a little bit different. There are different goals.”
That philosophy is reflected in the school’s decision to integrate Pipistrel aircraft into its fleet.
“The Pipistrel aircraft is surprising,” Rafael explains. “Once you fly in it, you feel the difference.” From the first flight, training and flying in the Velis Electro and Explorer stand out.
Barcelona Flight School utilizes both the Pipistrel Velis Electro and the Explorer, leveraging the strengths of each aircraft to support students throughout their unique training journeys. The Velis Electro introduces students to the latest aviation technology, including a modern flight deck and electric flight. These state-of-the art features, combined with noise levels of only 60 dBa, create a quiet, ideal environment for early training. The Explorer complements the Velis Electro as a reliable, versatile aircraft suited for longer flights and more advanced instruction, while still offering the latest avionics and technology.
“The Velis Electro and the Explorer are partners,” Rafael says. “The Velis Electro is great for showing students the most modern aircraft, while the Explorer is a workhorse for longer and more advanced training.”
Both aircraft provide students with access to a modern cockpit at lower operating costs, allowing Barcelona Flight School to maintain high training standards while keeping aviation within reach for a broader range of current and future pilots.
Through its fleet, training philosophy and commitment to help everyone achieve their passion for flying, Barcelona Flight School continues to empower students with the freedom to shape their own aviation path – supported by Pipistrel aircraft designed for the future of flight.
