What safety features are built into the aircraft?

Both the Alpha Trainer and Explorer come standard with a ballistic parachute for increased peace of mind in flight. The parachute is activated via a cockpit-mounted handle.

Large windows on the doors of all three aircraft provide exceptional visibility and enhanced situational awareness.

What avionics are standard in each aircraft?

The Alpha Trainer comes standard with a 10″ Garmin G3X display, a G5 standby instrument, full Garmin autopilot, GPS and NAV/COM instrument stack.

The Explorer comes standard with two 7” Garmin G3X displays, a full Garmin autopilot, GPS and NAV/COM instrument stack.

The Velis Electro comes standard with mechanical primary flight instruments and an attitude indicator. A Pipistrel EPSI 570 provides engine and systems indication.

Approved for day and night VFR operations, the Alpha Trainer and Explorer can be used to train instrument pilots in simulated IMC.

Approved for cold weather and day VFR operation, the Velis Electro has been tested flying in the rain.

Are Pipistrel aircraft suited for high-density, mountain or high-altitude operations?

Yes. With a service ceiling of 18,000 ft and excellent glide ratio of 15:1, Pipistrel trainers perform well in high-density altitude environments. The Explorer is frequently used in mountainous regions thanks to its climb performance and airbrake-assisted descent profiles.

Are these aircraft equipped for ADS-B?

The Explorer, Alpha Trainer and Velis Electro are equipped with ADS-B solutions compliant with both FAA and EASA mandates.
