In the year 2018 Pipistrel participated at the »AERO Expo« in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from 18 to 22 April 2018. The AERO Fair is the largest aviation fair in the EU and as such a driving force for manufacturers and aviation trends. Participation at the fair is necessary for Pipistrel, as it involves making direct business relations and establishing new dealerships.
The representatives of Pipistrel company were present at the expo area the entire time to offer support in 10 languages. At the Expo area Pipistrel was present in 3 different locations, displaying 6 products – different models of aircraft: Virus SW121, Alpha Trainer, Taurus 503, Sinus ultralight motorglider, Panthera and Alpha Electro.

Alpha Electro has been developed, in part, through WATTsUP project. The Panthera was parked outside at the Static Display area together with another Alpha Electro on the location SD – 38.
For the realisation of the project (participation at the AERO 2018 Fair), a sum of € 13,137.06 was granted within the framework of the public tender “Co-financing individual exhibitions of companies at international trade fairs abroad 2018”. Main goal of the project was realising of new deals and establishing new representations in foreign countries.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund (www.eu-skladi.si) under the “Operational Programme for the Implementation of the European Cohesion Policy in the period 2014-2020 period”, the priority axis “Dynamic and competitive entrepreneurship for green economic growth”, priority investment “Developing and implementing new business models for SMEs, in particular with regard internationalisation” and the specific objective of “Enhance International competitiveness of SMEs”.
