For the company Pipistrel Vertical Solutions d.o.o. we are looking for a self-driven and engaged Airworthiness and certification engineer (Junior) to become a part of the team Pipistrel.

Our airworthiness team plays a key role in bringing our vision to life. It also represents a key intermediary interface between Pipistrel and the relevant aviation authorities who are responsible for the safety and certification of the Pipistrel products. As well as helping to shape the regulatory environment according to which our products will be certified, your task will also be to support our in-house design teams. By this you will contribute that our aircraft will meet the required certification standards and regulatory requirements.

As an airworthiness engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our team of design engineers. To ensure that the developed solutions comply with the legal requirements in the field of airworthiness and certification, your tasks will be related to the following activities:


  • Assist in collecting, investigating, analyzing reports and further dissemination of occurrence reports related to the aviation safety
  • coordinate and conduct certification meetings with National Aviation Authorities and EASA
  • provide support in the preparation of documentation and data in the applicable design segment (participation in the preparation of certification basis and means of compliance)
  • active involvement in internal DOA relevant training activities
  • monitoring of design organization sub-contractors’ activities,
  • support design engineers in their technical activity for the acquisition of the target airworthiness requirements (in accordance with the compliance check list)
  • management of initial and continuing airworthiness for Annex 1 aircraft
  • ensuring continued airworthiness for EASA certified aircraft (preparation of documentation for deviations and changes to type design data, participation in the repair classification and preparation of relevant documentation)
  • providing technical assistance to customer support department
  • certification documents preparation (e.g., certification programme, compliance check list)
  • participation in the preparation of service bulletins and updates to aircraft flight/maintenance manuals
  • coordination with compliance verification engineers for satisfactory completion and showing of compliance against target certification specifications

Our future candidate has…

  • master’s degree in aerospace or aeronautical engineering
  • knowledge of the EASA regulatory environment and EASA practices
  • previous involvement in EASA Type Certification Processes is an asset
  • knowledge of airworthiness code on national level (German LTF-UL, UK-BCAR)
  • experience as Airworthiness Engineer and with Aviation safety (SMS) is beneficial
  • organizational and time management skills
  • technical problem-solving skills
  • English language proficiency (at least C1)
  • German language proficiency is beneficial
